Smartphones and tablets continue hogging the stares in the tech world.
When Nvidia launched the Tegra platform 3, was very clear: teams that use this chip have better graphics than an Intel Core 2 Duo.
Now the company went a step further by showing a plaque which makes clear that between 2013 and 2014 smartphones and tablets exceed the current graph to game consoles like Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Users of smartphones and tablets in their hands have the same graphics processing power than a current home console.
With the advent of mobile devices and smartphones, the idea of the PC was completely redefined, now considered computer to any device with at least 4'' screen, touch to replace or supplement the physical keyboard and is always internet connection.
The big problem with the advance brought by Nvidia remains the autonomy offered by the battery, which undoubtedly suffers increasingly as users are running applications that require increased use of graphics.
Nvidia made some progress in this field with the technology called vSMP presented with Tegra 3.
